James Akaminko Ashgold Kotoko wants to add Akaminko to his team

Ashantigold midfielder, James Akaminko, has put the red alert on Asante Kotoko after revealing that he would "seize the opportunity" to join the Ghanaian giants.

The former Medeama midfielder has been badociated with a Porcupine Warriors transfer after an improved form.

Akaminko, the younger brother of Ghana's defenseman Jerry Akaminko, has been a vital part of the miners since his arrival.

He was identified as one of three Ashantigold players courted by Kotoko.

And the former Tema Youth star revealed that he would seize the opportunity to join the Kumasi-based team as soon as his club reached an agreement.

"If AshantiGold management agrees to allow me to join Kotoko, I will take this opportunity," he told Oyerepa FM, based in Kumasi.

"It does not make me decide whether to leave or not, but I will not hesitate to play for Kotoko if I get the green light.

"I think I can contribute to my quota so that Kotoko can qualify for the next stage of his campaign in Africa.

"They have the last word and if both clubs reach an agreement, I will gladly join Kotoko."
