Ahmed Hussein-Suale deceased
Tiger Eye P.I, a lawyer with the private investigation firm, said he had submitted "significant" evidence to the police to help investigate the murder of Ahmed Hussein-Suale.
Kissi Adjebeng said that Tiger Eye had submitted a tape containing threats to the life of Ahmed and other members of the team who worked on the documentary #Number 12.
He told Samson Lardy Anyenini, host of Joy FM / MultiTV's Newsfile on Saturday, that since early 2018, they had alerted police that the life of the undercover investigator was in danger because of the calls he made. he received.
"In one of those conversations, it was clear that this gentleman's life was going to be over." You will lose your life! ", Said the caller during the phone call.
Although Mr. Adjabeng did not want to give more details about the person who made the call, he added that it was directly related to the documentary #Number 12.
Ahmed was shot dead last month around his residence in Madina, a suburb of Accra.
He was hit three times, twice in the chest and one on the neck by unidentified men on motorcycle while he was returning home.
Prior to his death, Ahmed and Anas constantly met with the police and the Attorney General regarding the prosecution of the persons named and presented in Documentary No. 12.
Mr. Adjebeng stated that he would not blame the police for being lax in this case, although after the incident, Tiger Eye, Anas and his counsel learned that they were "alone" in the fight .
They were happy to see that the police will do anything to get international organizations to join the fray.
He raised issues with the police, allowing Kwesi Nyantakyi, former member of the Ghana Football Federation (UFA), Kennedy Agyapong, to travel outside the country.
"As he was going, he [Mr Agyapong] was always bold and insulting people that he was still allowed to fly. We thought that should never have happened, but since then things have been better.
"… I do not accuse anyone of crime but of the way they were allowed to take the plane, I thought it was not welcome," he said.
Counsel argued that if he was not against the restriction of anyone's liberty, he thought it would have been better for the police to conduct interrogations before allowing them to fly.
Mr Adjabeng wants the security agencies to sit down and make arrests because, on the basis of the evidence they have provided, "so many things are obvious, especially the people who have committed the ignoble act … "
He added that Tiger Eye PI had every reason to link the death of Mr. Hussei-Suale to his job because of the threats he was receiving before he was actually killed.
"If anyone knows a reason why we should not tie him to his job, as exalted as it is [the person’s position]they should provide evidence, "he said.
