Family of the late J. B. Danquah-Adu laying a wreath on his grave
The family of the late MP Abuakwa North demands justice for the death of their son.
At a memorial ceremony at Akyem Old Tafo, spokesman for the George Amoah family invited the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to take a personal interest in the issue in order to unravel the truth and to do them justice.
It was a solemn morning at the burial place of the late Joseph Kofi Kyeretwie Boakye Danquah-Adu deputy in Old Tafo, in the municipality of Abuakwa North, in the Eastern Region.
The brief and solemn ceremony was led by Bishop Alex Bobby Benson of the Catholic Diocese of Koforidua.
It's been three years since the legislator's death.
The brothers and sisters of the late MP, his family and supporters were present.
They lit candles and laid wreaths in memory of their deceased parent.
The spokesman, George Amoah, has invoked God to attack the perpetrators of the alleged badbadination of their beloved son.
"Today, it's been three years since someone has committed suicide." Until today, the culprit and those who have done so, we have not seen them. But JB, rest badured, because if you are in God, you are the winner. Whoever did this will be open to all. "
He became very emotional at that time: "Sin can not darken the light, darkness can not shine when there is light. Wherever you are, sleep well. As the good book says, it is badigned to the man to die and after that, there will be a judgment. "
"We are waiting for the day of judgment and all those who have chosen to take your life will be found and God will treat them."
Amoah wants President Nana Akufo-Addo to help speed up the proceedings and reveal the truth about the death of their son.
"Today should have been a day when, even though we are in mourning, we should fall asleep peacefully. But this is not the case. We are still looking for who killed JB. This is disturbing. I beg the government to help us solve the mystery surrounding JB's death. "
He added: "We can never understand as a family that a personality such as JB should die of such a death, and then three years later, nothing has been done to fix it. . "
He was categorically unable to find justice, and the truth about the alleged killing would set a precedent that people would be killed and their badailants freed.
"We call the President because of his family ties, otherwise it would create an unprecedented precedent in our country, that people die and that murderers are free to walk around. This augurs badly for the country. "
The family spokesman was also concerned about the political turn of the case and wondered what had been done with the names and initial evidence.
"At the beginning of his death, many pieces of evidence were unveiled to the police. Names were mentioned, but we do not hear about them anymore and the case has progressed.
"If the NDC accuses the NPP and the NPP accuses the NDC and the truth is not revealed, who should we blame? Where should we put the blame?
On the plea of the main suspect, Daniel Asiedu, asking for the family's forgiveness, George Amoah said that he should open up and tell the truth that only God totally forgives.
"Hear the guy say we should forgive, we are not God. He must tell the truth just the truth to the judges, so that this mystery is unveiled and we know the real killers of JB. "
The late JB Danquah was murdered at his home on February 9, 2016.
