Following the recent indiscriminate badbadination of a Miss Ada Ifeanyi by members of the Nigerian police, the veteran actress of Nollywood, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde joined with others in condemning the ### ############################################################################################## 39: the incessant killing of innocent unarmed Nigerians by men of the gendarmerie.

A 20-year-old woman, identified as Ada Ifeanyi and her 32-year-old boyfriend, Emmanuel Akomafuwa, were shot dead in the Ajegunle area, in the state of Lagos, on Saturday, April 13, 2019, after a group of police officers identified as being agents of the Trinidad police station ordered them to stop and they did not do it.

While Ada, who was hit twice, died instantly, Emmanuel, who was seriously injured, is still fighting for his life. The incident occurred around 7 am and left friends, family members and the whole country in distress.

In response to the issue that has continued to cause concern, Omotola has spared no time in advising the federal government to address the issue before it escalates.

"The country under your watch is infernal! The lack of money in circulation, coupled with the constant badaults and murders perpetrated by men in uniform, will make this country implacable. It's unbearable! Do something! Insecurity, fear and despair everywhere, she left on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Mercy John, mother of the deceased woman, lamented the murder of her daughter, demanding justice.

"I spoke to her on Friday afternoon and she promised to come see me next week so we can celebrate Easter together. She's a girl I do not want to miss in life. When they called me around 7 am, my daughter had been hit by the police. I rushed there and saw my child lying dead. A girl of only 20 years old is dead like a chicken! What did they find on her that pushed them to shoot her? If they had pulled the tire, at least the car would have stopped. Is this what the government wants for us? I want justice done to my child! "Is she lamented.

CP Zubairu Muazu, Lagos State Police Commissioner, revealed that members of the team suspected of being involved in the shooting came from the Trinity Police Station and were currently undergoing internal disciplinary proceedings at HQ of command, in Ikeja.

The ballisticians recovered their rifles for forensic badysis and, if deemed insufficient, they would be prosecuted for murder by a conventional court.
