This year, Mr. Ansah made a similar presentation to the 1,754 candidates for the district's BECE, which will run from June 10-14.

The items, which cost 100,000 GH ¢, consisted of 2,000 mathematical sets, 10,000 pens, 10,000 exercise books for candidates and 1,000 basic mathematics textbooks for high schools and colleges. .

During the presentation to the candidates of the VRA Complex schools in Akosombo, Mr Ansah, former managing director of the Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority (GPHA), said his main focus was to badist the management of the project. education to improve the results of the BECE. improve the quality of education in the region, to enable students to pursue secondary education.

BECE results

Mr Ansah recalled that in 2017, when he had motivated the candidates through additional courses and other forms of support, the district had a success rate of 67.3%. this year. This percentage rose to 73.1% in 2018, noting that: "This year, we are targeting 100% or at least 90% of the BECE. "

Mr. Ansah also supported the top 15 candidates at BECE who increased from six to 15 last year with a total of points in their secondary leaflets.
