The People's Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, burst into tears in Jigawa.
Atiku cried as a crowd of mammoths sang his name at the PDP's presidential rally in Jalingo.
The state government of the All Progressive Congress, APC, reportedly denied the PDP access to the stadium and another venue should have been laid out.
Uche Secondus, the PDP's national president, said the PDP was preparing to take the power to put food on its tables and fight against hunger in the country.
"We call on Atiku Abubakar, a dynamic and competent person with the necessary experience to fight the poverty created by the APC," he said.
He told the crowd that their mbadive presence at the rally was a clear indication that power was returning to the party and that the state was already on the train to rescue Nigeria.
According to a statement from the national president's press office signed by Ike Abonyi, the national president badured that Atiku Abubakar was energetic, ready and equipped to do the job.
He said that APC had failed in Nigeria and should be expelled as they had been able to fulfill any of the promises they had made in 2015.
"The choice before us is between competence and incompetence, between broken promises and a man ready and equipped for work," he said.
The former governor of Jigawa State and aspiring presidential candidate in the presidential primaries of October 2018, Mallam Sule Lamido criticized the APC administration for destroying Nigeria by its incompetence and his lack of direction.
Previously, the candidate had led the campaign train to the palace of the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Nuhu Sanusi, who had prayed for him and his team.
