Audi has released details of its new Black Edition specification for the A4 and A5. The Black Edition model is based on the S-Line trim level and adds a gloss black grille surround, matte black windows, license plate and fog light frames, and an upgrade to dark titanium finish alloys 19 inch.
The interior features piano black trim and a Bang & Olufsen stereo with DAB digital radio and iPod interface. A4 sedan buyers get the Audi Parking System Plus, which incorporates front and rear parking sensors and a visual display inside the car, while Avant estate models have privacy tinted glass.
The Black Edition upgrade is available for all A4 and A5 Coupe engine variants and carries a premium of £ 1,250 over the S-line specification. Audi claims the Black Edition kit is worth £ 1,400. Prices for the A4 range range from £ 27,220 to £ 38,095 and prices for the A5 coupe range from £ 31,175 to £ 39,330.
Audi also introduced the Technik specification on the A4. The specification is based on the SE model and adds leather seats, sat-nav DVD, iPod connectivity and the Audi Plus parking system.
Available on 2.0-liter and 3.0-liter TDI diesel models, as a sedan or Avant station wagon, the A4 Technik models enjoy a premium of £ 915 over their SE counterparts. The company equates the extra kit to a £ 2,600 advantage over the price of individually specified options. Prices range from £ 27,270 to £ 35,205.
