AUDIO: Wontumi prays for Mahama … asks God to continue to expose him | Policy

Nearly a month ago, one of the transmission towers located near the headquarters of the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) in Tema fell into another tower, which caused power outages between Accra and Kumasi.

GRIDCo officials said the collapse of their pylon was linked to vandalism rather than an attempted robbery. They warned the general public that they had adopted a measure to kill the saboteurs.

But Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, regional president of the New Patriotic Party for the Ashanti region, blamed former president Mahama for the crash that sowed the darkness in parts of Ghana.

In a prayer by the President of the NPP, he called on God to expose former President Mahama and his party leaders when they are developing plans against Ghana's prosperity. He also asked God to bless President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia and make Ghana a better place than any other African country.

Lord, we give you glory and honor through Jesus Christ. It is our prayer that you would forget the sins of the old man of this nation. Our history teaches us that it is about our heritage and our ancestors sacrificed their blood to free us.

Through the covenant you made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, we pray that all innocent blood shedding and contributing to the hardships we face must be cleansed. We ask you to establish a similar alliance with Israel with Ghana.

My God, we ask those who do not seek the destruction of Judah and Zion. Please, do not close your mouth. Speak because I know that when you, God, spoke, there was a light where you wanted it.

Before God, we bring Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo. Just as you chose David, you chose him as president to lead us.

We pray that when the CND meets in secret and plots something bad against our nation … if we do something good, they speak against it and want to destroy it. We pray that every time John Dramani Mahama, Aseidu Nketia Johnson, Ofosu Ampofo and Kweku Boahen go to their secret place in the bush to destroy electric poles and prevent such crimes.

We have suffered in dummy in Ghana and God reminds us that the NDC has always wished for darkness around Ghana, but we pray that you will withdraw this wish.

Initiatives such as NABCO should receive your blessings and let the good things you have planted in Nana Akufo-Addo and Mr. Bawumia, which led to the reduction of import duties, remain perpetual.

Let Ghana rise above other African nations – this and many other blessings that we ask in the name of Jesus – Amen!
