Chinese imports of Australian coking coal, a key raw material for steelmaking, doubled in June from the previous month, despite continued restrictions in Chinese ports.
Coke coal arrivals in Australia reached 2.82 million tonnes last month, more than double the 1.38 million tonnes recorded in May, according to data released Saturday by the General Administration of Customs .

Dalian coking coal futures have risen 12% since the beginning of this year, peaking at 1,438.5 yuan ($ 302.53) per tonne in mid-June.
