Australian swimmer Shayna Jack banned from doping for four years

Shayna Jack is under the longest possible four-year ban imposed by the Australian Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA).

Several reports from Australia said that the 20-year-old swimmer had been informed of the ban by ASADA after her positive test for Ligandrol.

Jack, who mysteriously left the Fina World Championships in South Korea just days before citing "personal reasons," admitted that she had failed a doping test.

But she claimed that she was not knowingly taking drugs and had sworn to clarify her name.

Ligandrol is a drug popular with bodybuilders and used to repair worn muscles and increase muscle mbad.

Jack will have the right to appeal the decision but The daily telegraph reported that the only way for Jack to be whitened completely was if she could prove that she was a victim of sabotage and able to identify the culprit, who could face criminal charges.

She protested her innocence and still wanted to compete at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

"Deep down, I feel I should not have to defend my reputation because I know I did not do that," she said.

"I get tested about every four to six weeks, so why should I take something banned and give it to me?"

"Especially before the competition where I could be tested daily.

"Why should I go through this anguish and risk compromising my career and character?"

"I do not have and do not want to cheat and will continue to fight to erase my name."

Jack had already been banned from the rich international swimming league while she was preparing to fight her doping case.

She had been listed in the Cali Condors team for the ISL series from October but the organizers said she had been suspended from the league pending the outcome of his doping file.
