Avengers Endgame's Easter Egg: Meaning behind "I love you 3000"

Warning: Spoilers for Avengers Endgame.

It's one of the most adorable parties of the Avengers: Endgame and also one of the most bittersweet.

After the five-year jump after the demise of half of the universe's population by Thanos, Iron Man, aka Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), married Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) and had a child: Morgan Stark (Alexandra). Rachael Rabe).

We see Tony being a loving father for his young daughter and they have a recurring sentence: "I love you 3000".

It's a cute phrase that is used to spit tears later in the movie after Tony's death and he says it in a pre-recorded message for his beloved Morgan.

However, a fan spotted a very interesting little Easter egg behind "I love you 3000".

Ash, a fan on Twitter, said that the total production time of all Marvel Cinematic Universe films in the first three phases, including the next Spider-Man: Far From Home, totaled 3,000 minutes.

We have to badume that the next Spidey movie will last 2 hours and 9 minutes, but that sounds pretty much ok for a solo hero movie.

In addition, screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely told Business Insider that the line was inspired by Robert Downey Jr.'s own children.

Well, that's even cuter.

Avengers: Endgame is now in the cinemas.
