Avengers: Endgame puts an end to the early age of the Marvel film universe.
Faced with the decimation of half of the world's population while the cliffhanger of Avengers: Infinity War, the founding members of the Avengers (Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye) join other survivors such as War Machine, Nebula, Ant-Man, Captain Marvel and Okoye, to face Thanos (Josh Brolin).
The problem is that Thanos has all the Infinity stones and is a bit unstoppable.
However, a new theory suggests that a more dangerous enemy is waiting for Marvel's heroes after Avengers: Endgame and that could be the reason for Thanos' diabolical actions.
The user of Reddit, Jlefrench, baderted that the clbadic Marvel Comics antagonist, Galactus, would be the next major threat to Marvel's film universe.
Galactus is a tall person, older than the known universe, extremely powerful but who must feed on planets. He originally appeared in the Fantastic Four comics with his hero The Silver Surfer, before becoming a threat to the entire Marvel Universe.
"So, what if Thanos was right all the time, and what if we did that to protect the universe?" writes the user Reddit. "And if he is not crazy, we know that his planet has been destroyed, that is, because of climate change or global warming."
The user adds, "And that does not really make sense – global warming does not destabilize a planet like Starlord, Titan says."
This is where the theory suggests that Galactus plays a major role.
"Galactus is a being who goes to the planets and aspires to the planet's biospheric energy, which means all the" energy "of life on the planet.
"Galactus sucks the cores of molten planets, THIS mbad loss is what would cause the loss of Titan's gravitational pull."
This could further explain Thanos' actions and his extreme conviction.
"Thanos was cursed to know because he had predicted the coming of Galactus, he did not destroy Titan!
"Discouraged, Thanos goes mad, but he scours the Universe killing half of the planets because he thinks it would have saved Titan and he thinks he's saving those planets from destruction by Galactus. "
Many think that the end of Avengers: Endgame will set up the next big villain of the Marvel film universe. Could it be Galactus?
Disney will have the rights to the character after its acquisition of Fox and Marvel Studios' head Kevin Feige revealed that Galactus was one of his favorite Marvel characters.
The odds are therefore in favor of the appearance of the world devourer.
Avengers: Endgame was released in British theaters on April 25, 2019.
