Samuel Nartey George, MP for Ningo Prampram, one of the people at the center of the violence that occurred in the by-election of Ayawaso West Wuogon, compared the events of the day to a movie scene. 39; action.

"Gunshots were immediately fired in the air. I immediately took shelter against a wall and stood up against him. Because, the next 60 seconds seemed to be those of an action movie. I saw a number of armed men pulling their weapons aside and shooting towards the crowd. I've seen double [a National Security operative] take out his AK 47 and fire. The weapon stuck; I saw him cleaning his room, reloading his gun and firing his AK47 several times.
Sam George said that he was brutalized after his intervention when the NDC's National Women Vice-Organizer was arrested for taking pictures of a group of "thugs" who claimed to belong to national security.
He further told the Commission that the account of the events of the day had traumatized him.
"My Lord, to tell this leaves me a little traumatized because it was a direct shot directed at unarmed Ghanaian citizens and a Member of Parliament. In all honesty, my conclusion is that these shots were fired at me. So, I ran in a straight line when I heard him [shot]. I may have seen a movie too much [times], I realized that I should not run in a straight line, I made a detour instead of running straight.
Sam George recounts how he was badaulted by security guards
On polling day, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP was seen in a widely circulated video shouting at security guards in a parked vehicle, saying that they wanted to kill a man at his home.
It was during the exchange that one of the security officers came out of the van parked and staffed with security personnel to slap the MP.
He was then hit by another uniformed person suspected of being part of the security team.
