Second Deputy Speaker Alban Bagbin said he is looking forward to welcoming the NDC candidate Ayawaso West Wuogon to Parliament when he resumes in two weeks, which will increase membership minorities.

Preparations in the constituency have grown as the two main political parties gather their members for a health march to signal their willingness to fight for the vacant seat.

The seat of the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency became vacant following the disappearance of MPP MP Emmanuel Agyarko after a short illness.

The Electoral Commission has launched a call for applications. Delali Kwesi Brempong and Lydia Alhbadan of the NDP, CND, will be fighting on January 31, 2019 to serve the remaining two years before the general election.

Alban Bagbin, who aspired to become the presidential candidate of the CND for the presidency, said during a walk in the constituency on Jan. 20: "I want to badure you that Parliament is ready and I am ready to welcome our parliamentary candidate Hon Delali Kwesi Brempong will increase our number from 106 to 107 ".

He continued "the mbadive turnout is indicative of our willingness to take this seat.

The party's general secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, instructed party members to step up the campaign in the constituency and to run in large numbers to vote in favor of the candidate for the deputy.

The parliamentary candidate, Delali Kwesi Brempong, for his part, said he hoped to hold the position of NPP MP to guarantee his constituents his ability to ensure rapid development, in which security is paramount.
"I take this place with a margin of 60% of the vote to restore hope and ensure the development of my people," he said in a side interview with freelance journalist Fred Duhoe.

The constituency of Ayawaso West Wougon has 137 polling stations, including the first university, the University of Ghana, Legon. Students are currently on a break and are charged to return on election day.
