Cruise ships are famous for making waves, but Carnival Cruise Line flew to make noise on its last ship, using aerial advertising in the form of a 128-foot-long airship with the hashtag # CHOOSEFUN.
The baby airship (for reference, it is about half the size of the Goodyear airship) first sailed the major Carnival markets and ports along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts last summer. Then the Carnival AirShip began touring Southern California to promote the next Carnival panorama ship, boarding in December 2019.
The Runway Girl Network was fortunate enough to take a quick 20-minute ride in the airship from a private aviation area adjacent to Long Beach Airport over the cruise terminal where the Carnival Imagination vessel was moored next to the historic ship / Queen Mary permanent museum. .

The airship can only carry three pbadengers at a time by gondola or car, including the pilot, and its fastest speed was 30 miles at the time. Surprisingly, the ascent of the airship is quite steep but stabilizes rather quickly, controlled by the steering wheels on each side of the pilot's seat. (Yes really.)

The plexiglbad windows of the gondola sometimes distorted the view, but the port of Long Beach and the vast Pacific Ocean lay before us on a sunny, sunny day.
The airship first appeared above The Rose Parade in Pasadena on January 1 and continued to fly past other major events and attractions, including the Long Beach and San Diego cruise ports. An extended schedule would have been agreed, which will see the airship stop in Las Vegas and Phoenix.
