Franklin Cudjoe, the president of IMANI Africa and an advocate for ‘justice’ for the residents of Santrokofi, Akpafu, Likpe and Lolobi (SALL) reacted to the Supreme Court ruling on a request for review filed by Tsatsu Tsikata, the lawyer for SALL residents.
On Tuesday, March 30, 2021, the court upheld the Supreme Court ruling that allowed John Peter Amewu to run as a Hohoe MP.
The seven-member panel that reviewed the decision of the original five-member panel said no error of law was made by the judges to justify overturning the decision.
Franklin Cudjoe, who has been a strong advocate for what he believes is respecting the rights of residents of SALL, tweeted: “The Supreme Court is again rejecting SALL. Me: The Babylonian system sucks blood from SALL patients. Bomboclaat! Jah guide!
Context
Some residents of Santrokofi, Akpafu, Likpe and Lolobi (SALL) dragged John Peter Amewu, MP-elect Hohoe and the EC to the High Court.
They argue that by not being allowed to vote in the legislative elections in December 2020, their rights have been violated.
They obtained a 10-day injunction against the official publication of John Peter Amewu as the winner of the poll.
