Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin is the member for Nadowli-Kaleo
News reached at the Political Bureau of National Radio 99.7fm indicates that the oldest MP, the Honorable Alban Kingsford, Sumana Bagbin, will not be a candidate at the Nadowli-Kaleo Headquarters.
Up to now, about nine people have chosen their application forms to challenge the Nadowli Kaleo primaries. The process is expected to be completed today, July 12, 2019.
Sources in the NDC camp also hinted that the second vice-president would likely be named John Dramani Mahama's campaign manager to regain power in the NMP legislative elections in the 2020 general election.
It is alleged that John Dramani Mahama's camp has held talks about it and many believe that Rtd Hon Alban Bagbin is the right person to lead the NDC to victory by 2020.
It should be noted that the party has not yet made an official statement on this subject.
Alban Bagbin is Ghana's second deputy speaker of parliament and the longest-serving deputy in the Nadowli Kaleo constituency in the Upper West region.
