Bagbin visits a family of victims killed by a field vehicle

The second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mr. Alban S.K. Bagbin visited Monday the families of two victims killed by one of his field vehicles in Apam after an accident occurred Sunday..

the two, who were on an unregistered motorcycle, had an accident with one of Mr. Bagbin's campaign vehicles, a Nissan Removal with registration number GT 8265 – 16.

Accompanied by some past and present officials of the National Democratic Congress (NCD) and his campaign team, Mr. Bagbin also went to the Police Traffic Police Unit (MTTU) of Winneba District to check the state of progress of investigations.

During the visit to the two bereaved families, Mr. Bagbin offered his condolences and promised to help at the funeral.

The campaign vehicle reportedly hit and killed the two men on the spot at the Apam junction in central Sunday November 25, 2018.

The deceased were identified as Kwame Acquah, 25, and Emmanuel Awisi, 27. They are all residents of Winneba and were declared dead on their arrival at Winneba Hospital.

The vehicle at the time of the accident was headed by Charles K. Owusu, who was traveling to Accra after a private visit to Cape Coast.

Upon reaching a stretch of the road between Apam Junction and Winneba Roundabout, the vehicle overturned the two on an unregistered motorcycle.
