According to the Catalan newspaper 'Sport', Ajax and Barcelona are in talks for a partnership.

The two clubs have had excellent relations since Johan Cruijff joined the Catalan giants and recently collaborated on the contract to move Frenkie de Jong to Barcelona this summer.

According to Sport, a partnership is in the study that would allow Ajax to regularly receive players loaned by Barcelona. The Spanish giants consider Ajax as the ideal place for their young players or new South American recruits to learn their trade before entering their first team.

Barcelona would like in return the first refusal of one of the best young talents or players of Ajax.

Sport adds that discussions are ongoing on the transfer of Matthijs de Ligt. Juventus are still in contention for the central defender, but Barcelona is hopeful to join his friend De Jong at the club and has a bid of 60 million euros plus bonuses ready to be sent out.
