The Gunners suffered a 1-0 defeat to Belarus in the last first leg of the Europa League ahead of Alexandre Lacazette.
Arsenal has produced the worst performance since the appointment of Unai Emery against BATE Borisov in the Europa League, according to former defender Martin Keown.
Stanislav Dragun 's header in the first half was enough for the Belarussian champions to have the advantage of a goal in the return match at Emirates Stadium next week.
Alexandre Lacazette complicated a hopeless evening by being expelled late for a nudge to Aleksandar Filipovic in order to put an end to any hope of return.

Defeat was the fourth of the last seven games in all competitions for Emery, whose encouraging start was quickly replaced by a typical mid-season slowdown.
The Spaniard replaced Arsene Wenger in the summer, but failed to seismically improve the twilight of 22 years at the helm of the club legend.
Talk to BT Sport Keown said, "As poor as I can remember, certainly under Emery, it's the worst performance we've seen.
"BATE, you have to pay tribute to them, but Arsenal just did not have the penetration and there was a shortfall in their game.
"You can blame the ground, but it's a bad excuse, you have to be better than that.

"In the second half, we would expect Emery and his team to respond at half-time.

Emery is a former three-time winner of the Europa League with Sevilla, but will have to challenge recent history if he wants to take Arsenal among the last 16.
After losing the first match, the North Londoners have not won their draw two-foot since their victory over Porto in the 2009-10 Champions League, overcoming a 2-1 deficit for the first time. 39, bring 6-2 in total.
