Due to its success, BTAS would become the first show in Bruce Timm’s DC Animated Universe, which includes shows like Superman: The Animated Series, Justice League and Static shock. The show would also spawn a short-lived continuation series in the form of The New Adventures of Batman. More recently, writers Alan Burnett and Paul Dini continued the show’s timeline in a comic book series titled Batman: The Adventures Continue, which drew mixed reviews.
