Nathan Jones signed his first contract since taking office in Stoke City, hiring defenseman Danny Batth of the Wolves on a permanent contract.
Stoke paid undisclosed fees, which would have cost about £ 3 million, to recover the center, which has signed a three-and-a-half year contract with the championship club.
Batth played 16 league games with the Wolves during the 2017-2018 season, with the Nuno Espirito Santo team winning a Premier League promotion.
The 28-year-old was loaned to Middlesbrough during the first half of the current campaign, but was reminded once Stoke's bid was accepted.
"Danny is a dominant leader in a half-center, he has an excellent pedigree, he was promoted with Wolves last season and is one we think we can move forward," he said. Jones declared the club's official website.
"I think the environment needs to be refreshed with new recruits and that's exactly what Danny will do."
Batth could make his debut on Saturday when Stoke – who was relegated from the Premier League last season – goes to Hull City.
