Bawumia answers questions about Ghana's economy on April 3

The Vice President and Head of Ghana's Economic Management Team, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will answer questions about the state of Ghana's economy at a scheduled public meeting. April 3, 2019 at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra.

The meeting, which aims to inform Ghanaians on the developments in Ghana, is part of a new initiative announced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Information on Wednesday, March 20th of this year.

At a press conference held today in Accra, Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said Bawumia's speech would aim to inform the country of "economic gains made up to date". 39, now the current situation and the next steps ".

"… The Ministry of Information is about to hold the 2019 public meetings and begins on March 29, 2019 with a first public meeting in Kasoa at Datus School Park," said Mr. Oppong Nkrumah.

"Public bademblies are designed to bring government closer to the people and, as a result, state actors such as ministers of state, MMDCEs and agency heads must be accountable to the people who will also the opportunity to ask questions about the governance of our country.

"In total, we plan to hold 24 public bademblies this year 2019. The town halls represent a major shift in government policy to make information easily accessible and usable by the public here in Ghana and in the diaspora as well."

He added that the town hall meetings would be accompanied by an exhibition of the ISD that would provide imaginative and audio-visual evidence of the first three years of President Akufo-Addo's change of administration.

Mr. Oppong Nkrumah further revealed that the third public session would be held at the Dominion Center, north of London, in front of the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Majority of Parliament Speaker, Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu.

He said the session would give Ghanaians in the diaspora the opportunity to get a direct account of leaders and voice their concerns.
