Just one day after an address at the Plenary Session of the Economic Management Team at the College of Physicians and Surgeons on Wednesday, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia visited the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences, where he is encouraging students succeed in their studies.
On the occasion of the launch of the Academy on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary, Bawumia called on the institution to capitalize on technology to solve the problems of the modern world and urged students to contribute to the creation of a technology that would serve to improve the nation.

"You have to ask old questions in new ways," he told a crowd of students and staff members. "Technology can generate new responses."
He said that Ghana was about to chart a new course for the future and that it was using as an example the digital addressing system, the mobile money platforms and online banking recently put in place. He added that a more intensive use of technology in the public and private sectors would ultimately reduce corruption related to simple business transactions.
None of this will be possible, however, unless Ghanaians commit to educating their youth, he said.
"Education is an essential part of the activities that catch your attention," adding that the services provided by the Academy to the scientific community will encourage the pursuit of scientific excellence.
Bawumia hopes that through their studies, this will encourage a new generation of talented scientists and facilitate linkages through compelling initiatives that will galvanize change.
The government is completely behind the Academy and "our path to economic growth" will be largely due to their desire to prioritize the country.
