Vice President Bawumia at the 14th CII-EXIMBank Congress on the India-Africa Partnership Project
Vice President Mahamadu Bawumia spoke with Reliance Industries Limited, a major oil and gas company in the southeast of the country, about refining crude oil in Ghana.
The interviews took place in India on the sidelines of the 14th CII-EXIMBank partnership project on India-Africa partnership.
On the meeting in a statement, the Vice President said: "This morning, as part of my participation in the 14th CII-EXIMBANK partnership project on the India-Africa Partnership, I had discussions with the executives of Reliance Industries Limited, a leading Southeast Asian company, headed by its president – Petroleum Development E & P, Mr. Naresh K. Narang. "
He added in his statement that "we discussed, among other things, the need and the possibility for Reliance Industries Limited to participate in the government's valorisation campaign of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, especially in the field refining of crude oil. "
According to the statement, "we look forward to significant investments in the oil and gas value chain for increased economic development".
