Vice President Dr Mahammudu Bawumia donated 1,000 bags of cement and 50,000 in cash for the construction of a divisional police office in Ejura in the Ashanti region.
The project is designed to help police strengthen security in the region.
It comes following recent violent clashes between some local youth and security personnel, resulting in the deaths of two people from the Dagomba-Line Muslim community.
Dr Bawumia, who was visiting Ejura on Friday July 02, was accompanied by the National Chief Imam, Shiekh Dr Osman Sharabutu.
For his part, the national chief imam also donated 500 bags and 2,000 to the project.
In a speech read on his behalf, he said the Muslim community prayed for the souls of the deceased men.
He advised young people and affected families to exercise restraint, as the government had appointed a ministerial committee to investigate the matter.
Nasiru Yussif and Murtala Mohammed, both in their twenties, were buried Tuesday evening in accordance with Islamic tradition.
The violence that led to the shooting and the deaths of the two men was sparked by the death of a certain Ibrahim Mohammed, alias Kaaka, 45, who was allegedly brutally assaulted as he returned home on a motorcycle on Saturday evening. .
He died at Komfo Anokye University Hospital (KATH) three days after the attack, after being transferred from the government hospital in Ejura.
What was to be a peaceful protest on Monday, following Kaaka’s funeral, turned violent as protesters clashed with security personnel tasked with maintaining order, resulting in the deaths of the two young men.
