A BBC presenter urged young people to "check" after denouncing the warning signs he had ignored before being diagnosed with leukemia.
Chris Latchem, presenter on BBC Live 5, posted a video on Twitter on the occasion of World Cancer Day, in which he spoke about the dangers of ignorance of potential health risks.
Speaking of the deterioration of his health last year, he explained that his weight loss was due to a reduced consumption of alcohol during the same period.
The sports presenter of the breakfast, who is in his thirties, said that it was a visit from his GP who had changed his life, after feeling so sick, that he had need a doctor for a home visit.
Chris had gone through a difficult period during which he thought that the stress of buying a house had resulted in night sweats, fatigue and fatigue until his early beginnings and that "There were some events".
He explained that feeling "too bad" had led the young man to "sweep everything under the carpet" because of his descent.
The visit of his GP confirmed the worst and the doctor said it was "impossible to take sugar", and gave his diagnosis of cancer.
Fortunately for Chris, his leukemia was treatable, but there are others who are not so lucky.
In the Twitter video, which has been viewed more than 190,000 times, Chris has urged young people to "check themselves out before ruining themselves", hoping to quickly catch any signs of cancer.
In particular, he asked the "guys of his age" to be examined because they were more likely to ignore the signs of illness or to pbad them off as another reason.
Chris said he was reluctant to be an "influencer," but that he had to share his experience hoping to help save others.
