BBC Spotlight presenter, Victoria Graham, is separated from her husband, Simon McCoy, presenter of BBC News, after an 18-month affair with his boss.
The alleged case between Victoria Graham, 44, and editor-in-chief Jon Gripton has caused such emotion in BBC offices that her lover has changed jobs, reports the Mirror.
Simon, 58, is a former Royal Correspondent, while his wife Victoria participated in the Spotlight news show here in the West Country.
The couple was apparently met at a polo match in Windsor before getting married in 2007.
McCoy told The Daily Mail: "It's very sad."
"All I would like to say is that I wish Victoria my best wishes for her future."
According to reports, Victoria would be present on the screen without her alliance for some time.
It was claimed that she had started the deal with the publisher of Spotlight Gripton, 52 months ago, 52 months ago.
The relationship caused "a lot of concern" among their colleagues.
Gripton has since left his post in September to become editor at the BBC.
Victoria herself said that the breakup of her marriage had been an "incredibly sad time," with the couple undergoing failed fertility treatments.
