Former President John Dramani Mahama called on Muslims across the country to take inspiration from the celebration of Eid al-Adha to give back to humanity.
He said that they have to sacrifice something that is greater than them.
In a Facebook post, the former president said: “As we celebrate safely with our family and loved ones, may our prayers be answered and our sacrifices acceptable to Allah. May we be inspired by sacrifice to give back to humanity something that is greater than us. ”
He urges Muslims to harness the value of Allah’s obedience, sacrifice and divine mercy that the occasion brings.
“Eid reminds us of the value of Allah’s obedience, sacrifice and divine mercy.
“Above all, may Allah accept our prayers, heal our world and bless our homeland Ghana,” he said.
