The singer Beat Ranking, Roger died at 56 years old.
The musician, his real name Roger Charlery, died earlier in the day (March 26). A message on The Beat's Facebook page confirmed his death, adding, "He's beaten, beaten, beaten, Roger was a fighter.
"Roger's family would like to thank everyone for their continued support during this difficult time," concluded the position. See below.

Roger was diagnosed with two brain tumors and one lung cancer as a result of a mini-stroke suffered in August 2018.
Roger, born in Birmingham in 1963, was best known for his work in The Beat (known in North America as "The English Beat"), who released three albums together in their first period: & # 39; I Just Can not Stop It It (1980), "Wha" ppen? (1981) and "Special Beat Service" (1982). Among their best-known songs are "Stand Down Margaret", "Mirror In The Bathroom" and "Drowning".
In addition to The Beat, Roger was a prominent member of the mainstream, whom he shared with The Beat's Dave Wakeling in the mid-1980s. The band released two albums, "All The Rage" (1984) and "Hand To Mouth "(1986).
He has also released a series of solo albums, which began in 1988 with "Radical Departure". Roger, who was also known for his numerous concerts with Sting during his career, released his latest album 'Public Confidential' with the latest iteration of The Beat earlier this year.
A biography of Roger's musical life, which he co-wrote, is also expected to be published later this year.
