Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez questioned the referee Graham Scott after the controversial Wolves EQ.
Willy Boly's header scored a 1-1 draw at Molineux after Isaac Hayden's inaugural game.
The defender put Martin Dubravka to the challenge for Adama Traoré's center.
He denied the Magpies a valuable victory in their fight against relegation and they are one point above the fall zone of the Premier League.
It was the second time Newcastle had conceded an overtime goal to the Wolves after Matt Doherty's win in December.
Benitez said: "In England, they do not understand the rules. I can say a lot but it will not change anything.
"I did not like the challenge in the end. You must protect the guardian. We have been here for years and it is always very difficult to explain.
"It may be a mistake before (Miguel) Almiron too, we can say a lot, but that will not change what happened, like in the first match.
"It's a bad way to concede. We had one last point but it's a shame because we could have had three.
"You can badyze it, but I am really disappointed to concede in this way against a good team."
Hayden opened the scoring after 56 minutes when Rui Patricio saved his shot from the corner at the very first goalpost.
In spite of his belated position, Newcastle won seven points in four games and also gave Almiron a first-half second-half match after moving from Atlanta to £ 20m last month.
Benitez added, "I am satisfied with the team's performance. We controlled but it was not easy. I am happy with many things but disappointed with the way we have conceded.
"The disappointment is for everyone."
