Two teachers from the Banda Ahenkro Methodist Elementary School, in the Brong Ahafo area, each received a GH 5 antenna time for having emerged as one of the best teachers in the school.

Christopher Appiah, a Primary teacher in the school, told Onua FM that he had gained 5 minutes of posting to become the best teacher in the primary section.

According to Christopher Appiah, winner of the award, this award was created by William Kwabena Sefah, president of the PTA, to honor teachers who excelled in their work.

He explained that two other colleagues who came in second place also received a GH 2 antenna time each.

He added that they were all happy because they had never received any reward in the performance of their duties.

A teacher from the Nation Builder Corps (NABCO), who, according to Mr. Appiah, was recently transferred to school, was also awarded a GH GH 2 prize package in a special category for punctuality.

PTA President William Kwabena Sefa confirmed the report on Onua FM, saying the reward program was his initiative to encourage school teachers to give their best and improve the quality of the school. Teaching and learning at school.

He observed that even though the prices he's handed out are not expensive, he feels that it's a good start and has therefore called on the Ministry of Education to entice community teachers less well endowed to cheer up.
