In an interview with Good Morning America, Beyoncé describes the soundtrack of the movie "Spirit", released Tuesday, as a "love letter to Africa".
Spirit begins with the Swahili phrase "Uishi kwa mda mfmf mrefu" which means "Long live the king" and had already been viewed more than a million times on YouTube 24 hours after its publication.
Beyonce says that the album contains a lot of African acts because she wants it to be authentic music from the continent.
"I wanted to make sure that we found the best talent from Africa and that we were not just using some of the sound or my own interpretation," she said. meeting.
