Double signature
The city of Birmingham has confirmed the signing of Spanish midfielder Augustin Medina of the EU Cornella.
Medina, 24, signed a two-year contract at St Andrew's and became the club's second official signing after Ivan Guzman.
Medina and Guzman joined Blues early in the pre-season and participated in the Portugal training camp as well as a selection of friendly matches.
While Guzman joined Blues and immediately signed with sister club Cornella on loan, the club did not reveal his plan for Medina.
The Medina, born in Barcelona, climbed the ladder in Valencia before joining CE Sabadell, Celta Vigo B, then Cornella.
He played 38 times for Cornella last season under the command of Xavi Calm, who recently joined Blues as a coach under 23 years old.
Medina is the Blues' sixth summer rookie after Gary Gardner, Dan Crowley, Jake Clarke-Salter, Ivan Sunjic and Guzman.
