The co-chair of the National Council of Prophetic and Apostolic Churches (NPACC), Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, reprimanded the head of the international ministry of Alabaster, the prophet Kofi Oduro, for calling President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo a “hypocrite “.
According to the head and founder of Alive Chapel International, President Nana Akufo-Addo does not deserve such a comment from Prophet Kofi Oduro because the president has done nothing wrong except to fulfill his fatherly duty of the nation to address Ghanaians on the situation with Covid-19.
In an interview with the media at his office, Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako wondered why the Prophet Oduro had raised insults and insults against President Akufo-Addo when he had never attacked any personality in his speech to the nation on Covid-19.
He insisted that Prophet Kofi Oduro’s statement about the president is bad taste that must be condemned in uncertain terms; instruct the head of the international ministry of Alabaster to give some respect to the presidency as it is not easy for anyone to occupy this seat.
“I believe Pastor Kofi Oduro in honesty did not speak well… it is not easy for anyone to become president and therefore this position is a higher position that deserves reverends. It is a position that you cannot disrespect and we must thank God for not being in the military regime, ”he admonished.
He, however, advised men of God, especially Kofi Oduro, to be mindful of their statements by taking the right approach and channel to address the real concerns which ultimately cause them to pay attention to them. in a positive way and not in a way that creates problems.
“I think what Kofi Oduro is saying is in bad taste, honestly. Sometimes what you say may be the truth, but the approach and the packet as well as the channel used to convey the message can destroy your case, ”he warned.
He further blamed Prophet Oduro for acquiring a new communication skill to convey his message other than shouting and screaming above his lungs in order to have a significant impact; adding that true communication is not about shouting.
“People, unfortunately, don’t understand the power of communication… communication is essential in all aspects of life and so if you are a good communicator you can make a breakthrough in life, but if you don’t know how to speak, you always create problems for yourself, ”he said.
Bishop Salifu Amoako said Prophet Oduro should instead be grateful to the president for not including churches in other institutions that have been banned from operating due to the rising Covid-19 infection rate.
He thanked President Akufo-Addo for being a spiritually inclined leader to know the importance of churches and therefore to exclude this institution from prohibited institutions.
“The president simply said the coronavirus infection was on the rise and therefore we should adhere to safety protocols. He didn’t say he closed churches and he didn’t forbid people to go to churches… he pays attention to spiritual movements in Ghana and I love the president because he’s somebody. one who listens, ”he postulated.
He lamented the silent nature of the various leaders of the country’s religious bodies for failing to denounce the disrespectful character Prophet Kofi Oduro portrayed against President Nana Akufo-Addo.
“… If Kofi Oduro makes the president’s address his personal problem and, moreover, he qualifies the president as a hypocrite and even curses him, I think that is reprehensible. It is surprising that all the men of God in the land are silent on this matter. Now all the Christian organizations in the country should have spoken out to condemn Kofi Oduro and teach him how to speak to the authorities, ”he admonished.
