In an interview with Peter McCormack for WhatBitcoinDid, ShapeShift CEO Erik Voorhees spoke about the most important thing to do for the entire cryptocurrency industry and Bitcoin space in technical terms.
On this subject, the CEO agreed that fungibility and Lightning Network were important technical aspects for Bitcoin and that an exchange-traded fund was essential for the entire cryptocurrency space. He said,

He then explained that digital money could not be both the most "innovative" and "most conservative" digital badet, adding that "these things work at, they exclude each other".
The CEO then stated that he would not try to "stack all the features" or "all the desirable attributes" on Bitcoin. He added that the fact that other channels can deepen some of the desired features for Bitcoin was "awesome".
Voorhees further stated that other channels should not be discarded simply because they are less decentralized than Bitcoin. The CEO said:
