Former international player George Alhbadan said the senior national team players had to be willing to make sacrifices to win the Nations Cup in Egypt this year.

Ghana has not won the coveted trophy for more than three dedications, the last having been won in 1982 in Libya.

The Black Stars have since reached the finals of the competition three times, in 1992, 2010 and 2015, but have not yet won the fifth elusive title.

George Alhbadan, a member of the 1982 team in Libya, says players have to make sacrifices to win the CAN.

"We all want to win the CAN again, we have not won the trophy for a long time, the years without a trophy are worrying, Cameroon did not have a trophy when we won the 4th trophy, but now he has won more than us, "he told Happy FM.

"We did not have the best preparation when we won this trophy in Libya, which helped us, we, the players, were ready to sacrifice for the country and we loved to play football to be able to do everything and win the trophy. " ," he added.
