Mark Hoppus and his group companions in blink-182 are "locked up" in their hotel's room in El Paso as a result of a shooting that caused several casualties in a nearby mall.
On Saturday, August 3, Hoppus tweeted that he was en route to a mall when his security team informed him that there was an active shooter near their destination. They returned to their hotel, where news of a new shooting in the area was announced: "via the intercom, they have just announced that another active shooter would have been reported just across the street at a different location from the first shootings ".

CBS News reports that local law enforcement officials said that there were two shooters in a Walmart near the Cielo Vista shopping center in El Paso and that there had been several deaths in the area. Attack that occurred early Saturday afternoon. Hoppus later tweeted a update that reports of the second shootings were incorrect.
Blink-182 is currently touring with Lil Wayne and is expected to play against El Paso's Don Haskins Center on Sunday, August 4th.
