GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Greene County Sheriff's Department reported that a body had been found in the Nolichucky River on Sunday night.
A boater called the sheriff's service around 7:30 pm with reports of a body, according to WJHL.
The investigators responded and the caller took them to the location of the body. He was found stuck by a tree in the water. Greeneville emergency and rescue squad officials arrived at the scene and found the body.
The WJHL reported that the police had stated that the body belonged to a white man but had not yet identified him.
