The allegory of Rani from Jhansi has personally fascinated me for as long as I can remember. Therefore, writing even a review of a film based on his gallantry gives me great happiness.
A warrior queen on horseback, a sword in her hand, a child tied on her back, Manikarnika is an old-fashioned and simplistic film that emphasizes the core values of courage, valor and selfless love for the soil.

The opulence, grandeur and magnificence of the sets, costumes, jewelry, designs and execution in the film makes it a remarkable visual treat. Although the legend of the historical heroine is portrayed in a glamorous way, the burning ideas of patriotism and national pride are not compromised. Let's not forget that this director's adventure is also deeply rooted in feminist notions.

Although the heroic saga of Rani Lakshmibai releases the required nationalist fervor, the story is based solely on the enormity of the Queen's tale. With almost all the scenes dedicated to him to highlight his courage and his unparalleled talent, the film leaves an unused place to other elements (especially when it took creative liberties), as a plot, a depth , a realism and a considerable contribution of other characters. .

Despite the shortcomings of the script and visual effects, the film tells the fascinating story of the iconic warrior with fluidity and conviction that the public remains engaged until the last minute. Even the implausibility of the film that apparently tries to equate Rani with a goddess captivates the audience in an extremely striking way.
The audacity with which the film tries to explore the grandeur of an epic with a radiant female protagonist, who has no other male equivalent at his side, is undeniably commendable. It is inspiring and encouraging to see the recent shift from male-oriented films to powerful women-oriented films, portraying feminist narratives and bold, bold women.

Kangana Ranaut enters without fear in the skin of Rani and his performance is undoubtedly par excellence. Ranaut is on fire as a fearless warrior, while she channels Rani 's fierce spirit with unfailing ease and brings her back to life in a convincing manner. Especially in the second half, Ranaut is great and unequivocally establishes why she is the queen of Bollywood.
