Milan has announced that Giacomo Bonaventura would be unavailable for eight to nine months after a knee surgery.
The Italian international has gone under the knife to repair an inflamed cartilage.
"The AC Milan announces that Giacomo Bonaventura has been operated on the osteochondral lesion of the left knee," the statement said.
