Boruto Episode 179 finally reveals Naruto’s most underrated upgrade. Unfortunately, this is the one who sets up heartbreaking events.

Now in Boruto Episode 179, Naruto’s missing hand is finally dealt with and it comes through an underrated and most disturbing upgrade.
Sasuke never replaced his missing arm as he got older. Instead, he started using his katana more and honing his other techniques. It was a reminder of how much he had to atone for attacking Konoha. As for Naruto, his arm was recreated using Hashirama’s cells but bandaged to avoid looking like the evil White Zetsu.
However, Katasuke, head of Konoha’s science division, meets Naruto in episode 179 of Boruto and Shikamaru, showing the advanced prosthetic arm. He considers it his greatest invention as it is in tune with Naruto’s chakra, which is no small feat considering that Naruto has Kurama, the nine-tailed fox, inside him. This means Naruto can harness all of his power as if it were his real hand – which leaves Katasuke shining as he has to make up for the brainwashing for leaking Konoha’s secrets during Boruto’s exams by a mysterious foe. .
Naruto is excited to be able to train with Boruto and feel like the good old days again. For him, it’s not just a prototype, it’s a memory of his past. In the manga, this new arm allowed him to fight normally. However, it also foreshadows death and destruction. In the manga, Katasuke would give Kawaki another prototype of it, with Naruto loaning out the child’s chakra to keep him healthy and keep the arm attached. It’s ironic because the anime now has Kawaki found by Konoha.

So, as Katasuke celebrates his milestone, he has no idea that his gift is going to turn Naruto’s world upside down by tearing his family apart and inviting his deadliest foe.
