Bosch is introducing a new cloud-based software service to manage and monitor the battery life of electric vehicles.

The new connectivity will allow companies to remotely monitor and manage the status of batteries to reduce battery wear up to 20%, according to Bosch .

The first customer of this new service connected to the cloud is the Chinese giant DiDi, which will deploy a fleet of electric vehicles compatible with Bosch software in Xiamen.
The tools are not only prescriptive, but also predictive, allowing fleet operators to determine when a battery can be used and to optimally indicate when to replace aging batteries to ensure they are ready for use. better performance of a vehicle, said Bosch in a statement.
"Powerful, long-life batteries will make electromobility more viable," Heyn said in a statement.
Bosch sees three advantages. They are able to reduce battery aging, improve maintenance and repair times and, by managing the charging process, prevent batteries from permanently losing their performance and capacity.
