In what is called one of the biggest upheavals in boxing history, heavyweight fighter Anthony Joshua lost to Andy Ruiz Jr. on Saturday night (June 1). Some people blame the inexplicable loss Duck. More precisely, Drake's curse.

The charges originate from a photo taken in March. Joshua, who was undefeated before last night's fight, posed with Drizzy for a photo. He subtitled the photo, "Tip to break the curse # June 1."

Fast forward for the Saturday night fight where Joshua was a heavy favorite 11-1. He ended up being eliminated unexpectedly in the seventh round, thus depriving the favorite boxer of his three heavyweight belts. Naturally, people blame Drake's alleged curse on defeat.

"AJ lost his first match against Ruiz Jr 3 weeks after signing with Drake," said one person. "This man, Drake, must be locked in. It's a crime against sport at this point."

Another person added, "I suggest that athletes stop taking pictures with @Drake before a major event."

Boxing promoter Lou Dibella even jokingly issued a decree forbidding his fighters from contacting 6 God. "None of my fighters can get close to @Drake, write it in my chords," he wrote.

The supposed curse of Drake in the sport is in progress taken seriously after the fans started to notice the teams and the people that Drake would base on lose. Drake even joke about the curse after the Toronto Raptors won the 2019 NBA playoff series against the Orlando Magic.
