Jarrell Miller was banned for six months by the WBA for his unsuccessful drug testing.
Miller was tested positive for three banned substances before his confrontation with Anthony Joshua on June 1st.
The American will be removed from the WBA standings and will also have to register with VADA to undergo random testing at his own expense.
His suspension will end Sept. 19 and Miller will have to submit the results of these tests if he intends to return to the WBA rankings.
Its promoter, Greg Cohen, suggested the punishment was right, although Miller failed three separate drug tests.

"It's appropriate and we look forward to moving on to bigger and better things in the future," he said.
"I do not think he has the choice [but to comply]. Certainly, through this resolution, he must do so, and I am sure that Jarrell will abide by the resolution. "
Cohen confirmed that Miller would not seek to fight in any jurisdiction during his ban.

Meanwhile, Joshua faces Andy Ruiz Jr in New York on June 1st.
Ruiz agreed to the terms of the fight and Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, suggested that an announcement could be made as early as Tuesday.
"He will entertain you, give it all, and even if it means being knocked out sensational, he will rather do it than not," Hearn told Fighthype.com.
