Oscar Saxelby-Lee is scheduled for a transplant within three months of his last round of chemotherapy, otherwise his chances of survival will "drop dramatically," his family said.

The five-year-old girl has acute T cell lymphoblastic leukemia, which is particularly aggressive and progressing rapidly.

His family is urging the public to register for a blood stem cell registry.

The youth school also organized an event for donors.

Oscar, who is currently supported by doctors at Birmingham Children's Hospital, has received up to 20 blood transfusions and four weeks of chemotherapy.
