The spin-off will embrace The boys‘unshakeable concept of superhero in the real world. The G-Men comic book story follows a twisted version of Charles Xavier / Professor X, John Godolkin, who kidnaps children and takes them to his training facility / school in upstate New York. The spin-off will focus on a Supe college run by Vought and be filled with the next generation of “heroes” competing for contracts. The comics saw Vought-American ultimately market the G-Men as outcast heroes due to Godolkin’s evil practices (among other things). The boysThe college spin-off recently added Shane Paul McGhie, Aimee Carrero and Maddie Phillips to its cast.
Younger Supe groups like Young Americas and Teenage Kix have been referenced and / or set up in The boys. While there are currently no plans for the spin-off to tie directly to the flagship series, the pilot is written by Rosenberg and will feel like a cohesive part of The boys universe. In keeping with the fact that Homelander is a satirical / demented version of Superman, versions of the X-Men (such as a version of Wolverine) could be introduced despite the series not adapting the comedic origins of the G-Men.
