Brazilian footballer Neymar denied the rape charges in Paris, calling the incident "preparatory" and attempted extortion against him.
According to a Sao Paulo police report, an unidentified woman reportedly claimed that the 27-year-old Brazilian striker had drunkly besieged her at a high-end hotel in the French capital, where he plays for the Paris Saint-Germain Club.
In a seven-minute video message posted on his Instagram account Sunday, Neymar dismissed the charges, while revealing multiple photos and erotic messages exchanged with the accuser on WhatsApp.

According to the police report, the anonymous woman told investigators in Sao Paulo that she had met the footballer in Paris after exchanging messages on Instagram.

The hotel did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The woman told the police that Neymar had arrived at the hotel that night "apparently drunk" and that they had spoken and "toyed".

Neymar is currently in Brazil and is coaching with the National Football Team for Copa America starting next week.
He arrived at the Granja Comary training ground near Rio de Janeiro, 10 days after the alleged incident.
At the end of last month, the country's football federation replaced him as tournament captain with his Paris St Germain teammate, Dani Alves.
Earlier in May, Neymar had been banned from playing for three matches by the French football authorities for hitting a supporter after PSG's loss to Rennes. He was also involved in a locker room with his PSG teammates.
Paris St Germain did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the rape allegations. The Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) declined to comment.
In October, Portuguese captain Cristiano Ronaldo was also charged with badual badault in Las Vegas. He firmly denied the allegation.
