ABUJA: The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has postponed the final compilation of the results of the presidential election to Monday at 11 am.
Professor Mahmood Yakubu, President of the Commission, announced Sunday night the official opening of the National Ranking Center.
"From this day forward, the clbadification center is declared open until the final determination of the 2019 presidential election. During the procedure, there may be interludes or adjournments to be announced. by the returning officer.
"At the moment, no state filing agent is present. Some of them are expected tonight. As a result, the procedure is postponed. We will meet tomorrow, Monday, February 25 at 11:00 am to collect the results, "he said.
The INEC had previously indicated to Ekiti that the process had been concluded and that the head of state collection was expected in Abuja, but that at 7 pm it was not still arrived. Some officers would come by road while others would come by plane, depending on their proximity to Abuja.
"At the same time, the compilation of yesterday's election results continued throughout the country. Almost all states have collated PRs and are now compiling results at the LGA level. Some started compilation at the state level. We expect state ranking agents for the presidential elections to arrive at the National Ranking Center later in the day and tomorrow morning. As a result, the National Ranking Center will be officially declared open at 6 pm today. The compilation will begin as soon as the results come from the States. On this note, I want to say that the state of Ekiti has already completed the process.
