The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) confirmed its desire to football.londres that Chelsea did not appeal for the transfer ban to be frozen this summer.

The CAS issued a press release this morning (Friday) in which it was reported that the Blues had appealed to them to try to cancel the transfer ban of two windows of FIFA.

However, Chelsea has not yet appealed for the transfer ban to be frozen for the summer to register new players.

As reported by the Telegraph, there was a fear that trying to delay the ban could extend it if they failed, and the CAS confirmed that Chelsea had not requested a "suspension" from the ban.

When contacted by football.londres The CAS stated: "In order for a disputed decision to be suspended during the CAS proceedings, a specific request to that effect must be made.

"At the time of writing this article (June 7), no application has yet been filed in the Chelsea / FIFA case, so FIFA's decision remains in effect."

It's a story of rupture. More information to follow …
